Thank you for elevating voices in 2024

I’m reaching out to provide you with an update of our work. Having relaunched our brand to Wezesha — which means “Empower” in Swahili — we are on a mission to empower individuals and governments to collaborate through digital citizen feedback platforms, creating high-quality, accessible public services.

Highlights from 2024:

  • Expanding impact: This year, we successfully launched the program in three new districts in Tanzania, which serve over 300,000 citizens.
  • New partnerships: The organisation established new partnerships with Grand Challenges Canada, The Fund for Innovation in Development and the Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences.
  • Rebranding: Rebranded our organisation to Wezesha (which means “Empower” in Swahili) to emphasize our focus on empowering citizens and governments.
  • Growing our team and Board of Directors: We brought new experience and expertise onto the team focused on Technology, MEL, public health and partnerships development.

Looking ahead to 2025

We’re excited that next year we will expand our work across 10 regions in Tanzania and target elevating the voices of 1 million citizens with public health decision-making. Together, we’ll continue driving change and empowering communities and governments.
